Do I need an account to search cases?
No. Keyword search, citation search, bare acts, dictionary, and latest cases work without logging in. Bonus features (AI Studio, LexPulse, CiteSignal, favorites, notes, etc.) require an account and activation.
How do I search by SCC or AIR citation?
Go to Citation Search, select the reporter (SCC, AIR, etc.), and enter volume, page, and year. See the SCC & AIR guide for examples.
Why am I getting zero search results?
Try broader keywords, remove court/year filters, and check spelling. If you have a citation, use Citation Search instead. See Fix No Search Results for step-by-step help.
What is included in the AI Preview?
AI Preview gives new accounts 7 days with all 11 bonus features - AI Studio, LexPulse, CiteSignal, Research Crew, MootForge, favorites, notes, tags, organizer, annotations, and search history. Core search stays free after AI Preview ends.
Where is the AI Studio help section?
Browse all AI Studio guides at Help → AI Studio. Start with Getting Started.
Why is AI Studio locked on my account?
AI Studio must be activated on your subscription. AI Copilot and AI Associate require selecting it at signup. Check Dashboard → Profile, or see AI Studio troubleshooting.
How do I download a judgment as PDF?
Open the judgment page and use **PDF** or **Print** in the toolbar. See Download a Judgment.
Can I use Advanced Search without paying?
Yes. Advanced Search is free. Go to Advanced Search and combine fields, courts, and date ranges. No account is required.
How do I find cases under a specific act section?
Open Bare Acts, find the act and section, then click View Cases on the section page to see all linked judgments.
What are bonus features and how do I activate them?
Eleven bonus features: AI Studio, LexPulse, CiteSignal, Research Crew, MootForge, favorites, notes, tags, organizer, annotations, and search history. AI Preview, AI Scholar, and AI Chambers activate all at signup; AI Copilot and AI Associate pick at checkout. See Activate Bonus Features.
How does AI Studio work?
AI Studio turns any judgment into an 18-section AI Brief - case summary, facts, prior history, citations, ratio decidendi, acts referred, legal implications, key takeaways, and more - then lets you ask follow-up questions scoped to that case. See Getting Started with AI Studio. Always verify against the full judgment.
My payment succeeded but features are still locked. What should I do?
Log out and log back in to refresh your session. Check your payment confirmation email for the transaction ID. If still locked after 15 minutes, contact support with your registered email and payment details.
