Subscription Not Working

Resolve payment succeeded but features still locked, or subscription not reflecting.

Before you start

Free search (Cases, Acts, Dictionary, Forms) works without login and does not depend on subscription status. Problems with bonus features, Organizer, API credit, or payment access usually trace to expired plans, missing feature activation, or session issues. Steps

  1. Confirm you can open Cases and read judgments - if yes, core subscription-independent search is fine; the issue is likely account-specific.
  2. Go to Login and sign in again (clear stale sessions).
  3. Open DashboardProfile tab.
  4. Check Subscription Expires on - if the date is in the past, renew at Pricing.
  5. Check Subscription Plan matches what you purchased (Trial, Starter, Pro Plus, Biz Plus, Student).
  6. Check Value Added Services/features activated - ensure the feature you need is listed (Favourites, Notes, Tags, etc.).
  7. Return to a judgment page and retry the tool (star icon, Note, Tag, text selection for annotations).
  8. For Organizer, open /organizer/ directly - if redirected to pricing, Organizer is not on your plan or not activated.
  9. For API issues, verify your GUID header and account balance - see API getting started and /api/documentation.
  10. If all details look correct but features still fail, email [email protected] with your registered email, plan name, expiry date, and a screenshot of the Profile tab.

What you'll see

A healthy account shows a future Subscription Expires on date and lists activated bonus features by name. Expired accounts may still allow free search but disable star/notes/tags/organizer/annotations/history. Payment failures during signup leave accounts without active bonus flags until checkout completes.

Common mistakes

  • Assuming payment failed silently - check email for Razorpay/CCAvenue confirmation and Dashboard Profile for activation date.
  • Using bonus tools on Starter/Pro Plus without selecting them at signup - limited plans require choosing features once during checkout.
  • Confusing Ask AI (/ai-legal-research-assistant) with paid bonus features - Ask AI opens ChatGPT and is separate from Favourites, Notes, and Organizer.

Tips

  • Renew before the expiry date on Profile to avoid interruption during active matters.
  • Start a 7-day Trial to test all bonus features before committing to a paid plan.
