In one sentence

Browse newly uploaded judgments sorted by recency at Latest Cases, with optional court, year, and keyword filters.

Before you start

Latest Cases is free for everyone at /latest. It complements keyword search on Cases by surfacing what was added recently, across Supreme Court, High Courts, tribunals, and other forums. No account is needed to read results. Subscribers with Search History (bonus feature) will have latest-case searches logged when that feature is active.

Steps

  1. Go to Latest Cases from the main navigation.
  2. Scroll the default list - cases are ordered with the most recent decisions first.
  3. Optional - Filter by court: use the court filter panel to narrow to one forum (e.g. Supreme Court of India, ITAT Delhi).
  4. Optional - Filter by year: select a year from the year filter when shown.
  5. Optional - Keyword search: type a topic in the search box at the top and press Enter to find recent cases on that subject.
  6. Click a case title to open the full judgment text.
  7. Use pagination at the bottom to see older entries in the latest feed.

What you'll see

The page shows a total count, a list of recent judgments with court, date, and excerpts (highlighted when you searched by keyword), and filter chips for active court or year selections. Each link opens a standard judgment page with full text, PDF download, and related tools.

Common mistakes

  • Expecting only Supreme Court judgments - Latest includes High Courts, tribunals, and other courts depending on recent uploads.
  • Confusing Latest with sort by recent on Cases search - Latest is a dedicated feed of new additions; case search ranks by relevance to your keyword.
  • Missing new uploads because filters are too narrow - clear court/year filters to see the full latest list.

Tips

  • Check Latest Cases weekly to stay current on your practice areas without crafting new search queries.
  • Combine a keyword with a Court filter to monitor recent ITAT or High Court rulings on a topic.
  • Subscribe to site updates or pair this with AI Studio to brief emerging cases quickly.
