Before you start
You need AI Studio activated on your account. Trial, Student, and Biz Plus include all 11 bonus features automatically. Starter and Pro Plus require you to select AI Studio during signup. Check Dashboard → Profile → Value Added Services/features activated for AI Studio.
Steps
- Find a judgment using Case Search, Advanced Search, Citation Search, or Latest.
- Open AI Brief & Ask using any entry point below (or start from the AI Studio hub).
- On the AI Brief & Ask page, wait for the AI Brief to appear (first generation may take a minute or two).
- Expand sections - Case Summary, Facts of the Case, Ratio Decidendi, Acts Referred, Key Issues, and more. See the full section list.
- Scroll to Ask the judgment and type a question, or tap a suggested prompt.
- Click Read full judgment anytime to verify the AI output against primary text.
- For dispute briefs or documents, open Verdict Lens or DocMind from the AI Studio header menu or AI Studio hub.

What you'll see

Common mistakes
- Expecting AI Brief & Ask inline on the judgment page - it opens on a separate workspace URL.
- Using AI output in court without checking the full judgment.
- Forgetting to select AI Studio at Starter/Pro Plus signup - only 1 or 2 bonus features are included; pick AI Studio if briefings matter most.
