Before you start
Search results show the Brief & Ask button for all users. What happens when you click depends on your login and plan - see the table below.
Steps
- Run a search on Cases, Advanced Search, or browse Latest.
- Find the judgment you want in the results list.
- In the action row below the excerpt, click Brief & Ask.
- Follow the destination for your account type (below).
- On the AI Brief & Ask page, wait for the 18-section AI Brief if this is your first visit to that case.

If you already opened the full judgment:
- Click AI Brief & Ask in the top toolbar, or
- Scroll to the AI Brief & Ask panel and click Open AI Brief & Ask.

Common mistakes
- Looking for AI Brief & Ask in the site footer - use search results, the judgment toolbar, or the main menu AI Studio dropdown.
- Clicking as a guest and expecting the brief to generate - sign up for a AI Preview or subscribe first.
Tips
- Use AI Brief & Ask on 2–3 top search hits to compare ratio quickly before deep-reading full texts.
- Pair with Search History (bonus feature) to revisit the same result set later.
