60-second version
- On any judgment page, click Tools (sliders icon) in the toolbar to open the off-canvas drawer.
- Inside: Save as PDF, Print, AI Brief & Ask, Semantic analysis, Visualize, Add tag, Add note, Favourite, and CiteSignal.
- Brief & Ask also appears as a quick link in the toolbar outside the drawer.
In one sentence
The judgment Tools drawer groups export, research, organize, and alert actions in one panel - click Tools on any case page to open it.
Before you start
PDF and Print work for everyone without login. Tag, Note, Favourite, CiteSignal, and AI Brief & Ask require a logged-in account with the matching bonus feature activated on Dashboard → Profile.
Steps
- Open a judgment from Cases search, Citation Search, or a direct link.
- Find the toolbar below the breadcrumbs - it shows Tools and Brief & Ask.
- Click Tools - the drawer slides in from the side.
- Export section: Save as PDF or Print judgment.
- Research & AI section: AI Brief & Ask, Semantic analysis (
/case/meta/{id}), Visualize (infographic charts). - Organize section: Add tag, Add note, Favourite (when those bonus features are active).
- Alerts section: CiteSignal toggle to watch for forward citations.
- Click the × or tap outside the drawer to close it.
What you'll see
The drawer groups actions into labelled sections. If CiteSignal is active on the judgment, a badge may appear on the Tools button. Without bonus access, some links redirect to login or Pricing.
Common mistakes
- Looking for PDF or star icons on the main toolbar - they moved into Tools.
- Expecting Brief & Ask inside the drawer only - it is also a one-click link in the toolbar for faster access.
