A chemist, druggist, apothecary or keeper of a dispensary who allows any liquor, which has not been bona fide medicated for medicinal purposes according to the prescription of a1[registered medical practitioner] or any intoxicating drug to be consumed on his business premises by any person, shall, on conviction, be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months, or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or with both. _____________________ 1. THE CHHATTISGARH EXCISE ACT, 1915 THE CHHATTISGARH EXCISE ACT, 1915 [Act No. 02 of 1915] PREAMBLE An Act to consolidated and amend the Excise Law in Chhattisgarh.
