Definition

Wholesale, means a sale in large quantities where a trader sells the whole or a large part of his articles or goods or produce direct at a fixed price to his customers who will be mostly retail dealers, that price can be described as the wholesale price, and if, cash was paid on delivery, the same is described as wholesale cash price, Secretary of State v. Vaccum Oil Co., AIR 1939 Bom 597.
