central information commission club building (near post office) old jnu campus, new delhi - 110067 tel: +91-11-26161796decision no. cic/sg/c/2011/000841/15015 complaint no. cic/sg/c/2011/000841 complainant : ms.puja puja cosmetic charitable store 7, jamuna nagar, opp.police training center, hapur road, meerut-250004, uttar pradesh cpio & deputy general manager syndicate bank, regional office, bhawanipuram, university road, meerut, uttar pradeshrespondent:facts arising from the complaint: the complainant had filed a rti application with the respondent on 21/09/2010 asking for certain information. on not having received any information within the mandated time the complainant filed a complaint under section 18 of the rti act before the commission. on this basis, the commission issued a notice to the respondent on 02/08/2011 with a direction to provide the information to the complainant and further sought an explanation for not furnishing the information within the mandated time. the commission is in receipt of the submissions of the respondent vide letter dated 29/08/2011 wherein it has been stated that the rti application was replied vide letter dated 27/10/2010 and the same was returned by the postal department marked “ return to sender- unclaimed”. on perusal of the records before the commission it appears that information with respect to the rti application dated 21/09/2010 had been provided to the complainant vide letter dated 27/10/2010 which was returned to the respondent undelivered. the copy of the said reply is now being provided to the complainant with the commission’s decision.decision: the complaint is disposed off.notice of this decision be given free of cost to the parties.shailesh gandhi information commissioner 3rd october 2011enclosed: respondent’s reply dated 27/10/2010.(in any correspondence on this decision, mention the complete decision number.)(rj)page 1 of 1
