(Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to include the name of the petitioner in the panel of Inspectors of Police fit for promotion to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police for the year 2013-14 and consequently to direct the 1st respondent to promote the petitioner as Deputy Superintendent of Police from the date on which juniors were promoted by taking into account of ''Further Action Dropped in P.R.No.20/14 issued U/r. 3(b) of Tamil Nadu Police Sub-Ordinate Service (Discipline and Appeal) Rules 1955 by the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Railways, Chennai, in his proceedings in Tha.Ko.20/14 rule 3 (b) dated 25.09.2015 and by considering his representation dated 09.11.2015 within the period that may be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.)
