Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, 1967 (Central) Chapter I

.....but not defined in this Act and defined in the Code shall have the meanings respectively assigned to them in the Code. (2) Any reference in this Act to any enactment or any provision thereof shall, in relation to an area in which such enactment or such provision is not in force, be construed as a reference to the corresponding law or the relevant provision of the corresponding law, if any, in force in that area.'. The Maharashtra Advertisements Tax Act, 1967 Complete Act

.....Government in this behalf may recover from any person who has committed or has reasonably been suspected of having committed an offence against this Act or rules thereunder, by way of composition of such offence- (a) where an offence consists of the failure to pay, or the evasion of, any advertisement tax payable under this Act, in addition to the tax so payable, a sum of money not exceeding five hundred rupees or double the amount of the tax payable, whichever is greater ; and (b) in other cases, a sum of money not exceeding five hundred rupees. 9. Exemption from payment of advertisement tax:- (1) Nothing in section 3 shall apply in relation to any advertisement which is exhibited without any payment made or to be made therefor- (a) for or on behalf of any Government, (b) for or on behalf of any local authority if the advertisement in the opinion of the State Government is for Philanthropic or charitable purposes or wholly educational in character and is not exhibited or intended to be exhibited for purposes of profit. Rule 3 Maintenance and use of pilot ladder and other appliances (1) The pilot ladder and the appliances required to be carried on board under sub-rule (2) of rule 2 (hereinafter in this rule referred to as other appliances) shall be kept in good condition and shall be reserved for the use of officials and other persons, while a ship is arriving at, or leaving, a port and for the embarkation and disembarkation of pilots. (2) Pilot ladder and other appliances shall be used whenever a pilot, harbourmaster or assistant harbour-master embarks or disembarks from a ship.
