Copyright Act, 1957 Section 65

Title: Possession of Plates for Purpose of Making Infringing Copies

State: Central

Year: 1957

Any person who knowingly makes, or has in hi s possession, any plate for the purpose of making infringing copies of any work in which copyright subsists shall be punishable with imprisonment which may extend to1[two years and shall also be liable to fine]. ___________________ 1. Substituted by Act 65 of 1984, section 8, for "one year, or with fine or with both" w.e.f. 8-10-1984.

Semiconductor Integrated Circuits Layout-design Act, 2000 Section 65

Title: Costs of Defence or Prosecution

Year: 2000

In any prosecution under this Act, the court may order such costs to be paid by the accused to the complainant, or by the complainant to the accused, as the court deemed reasonable having regard to all the circumstances of the case and the conduct of the parties. Costs so awarded shall be recoverable as if they were a fine.

Manipur Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 Section 65

Title: Standing Committees

(1) The Zilla Parishad shall have the following Standing Committees, namely:-- (a) General Standing Committee; (b) Finance, Audit and Planning Committee; (c) Social Justice Committee; (d) Education and Health Committee; (e) Agriculture and Industries Committee; and (f) Works Committee. (2) Each Standing Committee shall consist of such number of members not exceeding five including the Chairman elected by the members of Zilla Parishad from amongst the elected members. (3) The Adhyaksha shall be the ex-officio member and Chairman of the General Standing Committee and the Finance, Audit and Planning Committee. The Up-Adhyaksha shall be the ex officio member and Chairman of the Social Justice Committee. The other Standing Committee shall elect the Chairman from among their members. (4) No member of the Zilla Parishad shall be eligible to serve not more than two Standing Committees. Marine Insurance Act, 1963 Section 65

Title: Salvage Charges

(1) Subject to any express provision in the policy, salvage charges incurred in preventing a loss by perils insured against may be recovered as a loss by those perils. (2) "Salvage charges" means the charges recoverable under maritime law by a salvor independently of contract. They do not include the expenses of services in the nature of salvage rendered by the assured or his agents, or any person employed for hire by them, for the purpose of averting a peril insured against. Such expenses, where properly incurred, may be recovered as particular charges or as a general average loss, according to the circumstances under which they were incurred.

Navy Act, 1957 Section 65

Title: Offences in Respect of Persons on Board a Prize Ship

Every person subject to naval law who in any sort pillages, beats, or ill-treats officers, mariners or other persons on board a ship or vessel taken as prize or who unlawfully strips them off their clothes, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years or such other punishment as is hereinafter mentioned.

Cantonments Act, 2006 Section 65

Title: Power of Expenditure of Educational, Health and Other Purposes Outside the Cantonment

(1) A Board may make provision subject to availability of funds for--(i) educational objects in a cantonment; (ii) the objectives of public health and medical care; (iii) works relating to water-supply, drainage and lighting; (iv) the preservation, improvement and upgradation of environment, outside the cantonment, if it is satisfied that the interests of the residents of the cantonment will be served thereby.
