.....2 of the Mines Act, 1952-; (b) "factory" and "occupier" have the meanings respectively assigned to them in clauses (m) and (n) of section 2 of the Factories Act, 1948-;3[(bb) "Limestone" includes minerals like lime-shell, calcareous sand and sea sand essentially composed of lime shell, marl, kankar. or lime kankar;] (c) "manager" means the manager referred to in section 17 of the Mines Act, 1952-; (d) a person is said to be employed in a limestone or dolomite mine,- (1) if he is employed within the premises or in the vicinity of such mine by the owner, agent or manager of such mine or by a contractor or any other agency exclusively in any one or more of the following, namely:- (i) any limestone or dolomite mining operation; (ii) the operation, servicing, maintenance or repair of any machinery or any part thereof used in or about such mine; (iii) the loading, unloading or despatch of limestone or dolomite or any other material connected with the mining of limestone or dolomite; (iv) any work in any office, canteen or creche situate within the precincts of such mine; (v) any welfare, health, sanitary or conservancy services or any, watch and ward duties at any place situate within.....

.....Twenty-third Year of the Republic of India as follows:- CHAPTER 01: PRELIMINARY SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE, EXTENT AND COMMENCEMENT - (1) This Act may be called THE ARCHITECTS ACT, 1972. (2) It extends to the whole of India. (3) It shall come into force on such date1as the Central Government may by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. SECTION 02: DEFINITIONS - In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,- (a) "architect" means a person whose name is for the time being entered in the register; (b) "Council" means the Council of Architecture constituted undersection 3-; (c) "Indian Institute of Architects" means the Indian Institute of Architects registered underthe Societies Registration Act, 1860; (d) "recognised qualification" means any qualification in architecture for the time being included in the Schedule or notified undersection 15-; (e) "register" means the register of architects maintained undersection 23-; (f) "regulation' means a regulation made under this Act by the Council; (g) "rule" means a rule made under this Act by the Central Government. THE MULKI RULES (REPEAL) ACT, 1973 [Act, No. 68 of 1973] [28th December, 1973] PREAMBLE An Act to provide for the repeal of Mulki Rules. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Twenty-fourth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-- 1. Short title and commencement.-- (1) This Act may be called the Mulki Rules (Repeal) Act, 1973. (2) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. 2. Definition.-- In this Act, "Mulki Rules" shall have the same meaning as in the Mulki Rules Act, 1972 (79 of 1972). 3. Repeal of Mulki Rules.-- Upon the commencement of this Act, the Mulki Rules as in force immediately before such commencement shall, notwithstanding anything contained in the Mulki Rules Act, 1972, (79 of 1972) cease to have effect and are hereby repealed: Provided that such repeal shall not affect the validity of any appointment previously made in accordance with those rules.

Title: Limitation, During a Specified Period, of Application of Mulki Rules to Appointments to Certain Posts and Validation of Other Appointments

.....area, which carries a scale of pay the minimum of which does not exceed three hundred rupees per mensem or a fixed pay not exceeding that amount; (d) appointment for the filing of the second vacancy (hereafter in this section and in section 4 referred to as reversed vacancy) in every unit of three vacancies which are to be filled by direct recruitment in non-gazetted posts in the Secretariat Departments and the offices of the Heads of Departments of the State Government situated in the Capital area. (3) Notwithstanding any judgment, decree or order of any court, tribunal or other authority, no appointment of any person made during the period referred to in sub-section (1) to a post other than a post referred to in clause (a) or clause (b) or clause (c) of sub-section (2) or to a vacancy other than a reserved vacancy in a post referred to in clause (d) of that sub-section and no action taken or thing done by or before such person shall be deemed to be illegal or void or ever to have become illegal or void merely on the ground that such appointment was not made in accordance with the Mulki Rules.

Title: Repeal of Mulki Rules Except as to Appointments to Certain Posts

The Mulki Rules, except in so far as those Rules relate-- (a) to appointment to any First Schedule post; and (b) to appointment to any Second Schedule post for the purpose of filling of a Telengana vacancy, are hereby repealed, but such repeal shall not affect the validity of any appointment previously made in pursuance of those Rules.

Title: Repeal of Mulki Rules in Respect of Appointments to Schedule Posts in the Capital Area

The Mulki Rules shall, in so far as they relate to appointments to Schedule posts in the Capital area, cease to have effect on the expiration of the 31st day of December, 1977, and accordingly, those Rules shall, in so far as they relate to such appointments, stand repealed on the expiration of that day, but such repeal shall not affect the validity of any appointment previously made in pursuance of those Rules.

The Mulki Rules shall, in so far as they relate to appointments to Schedule posts in the Telangana area other than the Capital area, cease to have effect on the expiration of the 31st day of December, 1980, and shall stand repealed on the expiration of that day, but such repeal shall not affect the validity of any appointment previously made in pursuance of those Rules.
