Title: Summary Procedure on Death of Holder of Government Securities Not Exceeding Five Thousand Rupees Face Value

Notwithstanding anything contained in section 7, if within six months of the death of a person who was the holder of a Government security or securities the face value of which does not in the aggregate exceed five thousand rupees, probate of his will or letters of administra­tion of his estate or a succession certificate issued under Part X of the Indian Succession Act, 1925, is not produced to the Bank, or proof to the satisfaction of the Bank that procedings have been instituted to obtain one of these is not furnished, the Bank may determine who is the person entitled to the security or securities, or to administer the estate of the deceased and may make an order vesting the security or securities in the person so determined.

Sick Textile Undertakings( Nationalisation) Act, 1974 Section 7

Title: Shares to Be Issued by the National Textile Corporation for the Value of the Assets Transferred to It by the Central Government

.....for the contribution so made, the National Textile Corporation shall issue (if necessary after amending its memorandum and articles of association) to the Central Government paid-up shares, in its equity capital, having a face value equal to the amount specified agains the sick textile undertaking in the corresponding entry in column (4) of the First Schedule. (2) Where any liability assumed by the Central Government under this Act is taken over by the National Textile Corporation under section 27, the Central Government shall surrender to that Corporation the shares issued to it under sub-section (1) having the face value equal to the amount to the extent to which the liability has been so taken over by the National Textile Corporation and thereupon the share capital of the National Textile Corporation shall, to the extent of the face value of the shares so surrendered, stand reduced.

An amount equal to the value of the assets of the textile undertakings transferred to, and vested in the National Textile Corporation under sub-section (2) of section 3 shall be deemed to be the contribution made by the Central Government to the equity capital of the National Textile Corporation; and for the contribution so made, the National Textile Corporation shall issue (if necessary after amending its memorandum and articles of association) to the Central Government paid up shares, in its equity capital having a face value equal to the amount specified in section 8.

Title: Government Securities Not Exceeding Five Thousand Rupees Face Value Belonging to Minor or Insane Person

When a Government security or securities belong to a minor or a person who is insane and incapable of managing his affairs and the value of the security or securities does not in the aggregate exceed five thousand rupees, the Bank may make such order as it thinks fit for the vesting of such security or securities in such person as it considers represents the minor or insane person.

Title: Procedure on Death of Holder of Securities Not Exceeding an Aggregate Value of Five Thousand Rupees

.....s.6 for "officer"] [authority] , such [ Subs.By Act 28 of 1937 , s.6 for "officer"] [authority] may, after inquiry in the manner provided in the sub sections (2) and (3) of section 13 , determine who is the person entitled to the security or securities or to administer the estate of the deceased , and may- (a) in the case of any such security relating to a loan due for repayment , authorise payment of the amount due thereon to such person ; and (b) in the case of any such security relating to a loan not due for repayment , authorise , in the case of a promissory note, the renewal of such person , or, in the case of stock , the registration of the name of such person in substitution for the name of the deceased; and (2) Upon the payment or renewal of any promissory note in accordance with sub- section (1), the Government shall be discharged from all liability in respect of the note so paid or renewed ; and any substitution of names made in accordance with clause (b) of sub- section (1) shall, for the purposes of any claim against the government , be deemed to have effected a valid transfer of the stock in respect of which it was made. Title: Construction of References to Certain Values in Existing Laws

In every existing law, all references to any value expressed in annas, pice and pies, shall be construed as references to that value expressed in new coins referred to in sub-section (1) of section 14 of the Indian Coinage Act, 1906 (Central Act III of 1906), converted thereto at the rate specified in sub-section (2) of section 14 of the said Act.
