Extra., dated the 25th January, 1971, p. 48-53.] [18th May, 1971] PREAMBLE An Act to provide allowances of the Members of the Legislative Assembly of Himachal Pradesh. ....."Note: This sub-section shall be deemed to have come into force on the 14th day of May, 1996.". 3. Insertion of new section 2B.- In the principal Act, after section 2A, the following section shall be inserted, namely:- "2B. Free Transit Coupons for ex-Members of the Legislative Assembly.- (1) Subject to such rules as may be made in this behalf, any person, who has served as a member referred to in clause (i) or clause (ii) or clause (iii) of sub-section (1) of section 2 shall, at the option of such ex-Member, be provided with all or any of the following free transit coupons of an aggregate value of twelve thousand rupees for a period of twelve calendar months, namely:- (i) rail travel coupons for travel by such ex-member by rail; and (ii) fuel coupons for the purchase of fuel for the travel of such ex-member in a private vehicle: Provided that it shall be lawful for the Government to enhance, by order, from time to time, the aforesaid amount of free transit coupons proportionate to the periodical increase in rail charges made by the Central Government. (2) Subject to such rules as may be made in this behalf every ex-member shall be entitled to utilise such rail travel.....

Act No. 10 of 2008.] [or as a member of Lok Sabha/Rajya Sabha] has not been able to serve for five years, he shall be deemed to have served as a member for a period of five years but this deeming provision shall not apply for the purpose of earning additional pension. .....

Rajpatra (Asadharan) dated 15-2-2005 Pages 62(3-5).] [15th February, 2005] PREAMBLE An Act further to amend the Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha Sadasya (Vetan, Bhatta Tatha Pension) Adhiniyam, 1972. Be it enacted by the Chhattisgarh Legislature in the Fifty-fifth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-- Section 1 - Short title and commencement (1) This Act may be called the Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha Sadasya (Vetan Bhatta Tatha Pension) (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2004. (2) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Gazette. Section 2 - Amendment of Section 4 In Section 4 of the Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha Sadasya (Vetan Bhatta Tatha Pension) Adhiniyam, 1972 (No. 7 of 1973) (hereinafter referred to as the Principal Act), for the words "Three Thousand" the words "Five Thousand" shall be substituted. Section 3 - Amendment of Section 4-A In Section 4-A of the Principal Act, for the words "Four Thousand" the words "Five Thousand" shall be substituted. .....

.....Amendment Act, 2002. (2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. Amendment of section 3. 2. In the Sikkim Legislative Assembly Members (Payment of Pension) Act, 1984, (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), in section 3, after sub-section (2) the following sub-section shall be inserted namely; "(3) In the event of death of Ex-Legislator, his/her spouse shall be entitled to draw family pension at the rate of 75% of the pension amount to which the deceased would have been entitled had he been alive". 3. .....receive pension available to the spouse of any member of Parliament who dies during his term of office as such member for a period of five years from the date of death of the member under sub-section (1A) of section 8A of the Salary, Allowances and Pension of Members of Parliament Act, 1954 (30 of 1954).
