THE MIZORAM COOPERATIVE SOCIETIES ACT, 2006 THE MIZORAM COOPERATIVE SOCIETIES ACT, 2006 (Act No.9 of 2006) An Act CHAPTER - I PRELIMINARY 1. Short title, extent and commencement: (1) This Act may be called the Mizoram Co-operative Societies Act, 2006. (2) It extends to the whole state of Mizoram. (3) It shall come into force on such date as the state government may by notification in the official Gazette, appoint and different dates for enforcement ray be appointed for different provisions of this Act. 2. Definitions: In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires - (1) "Act" (the. this) means the Mizoram Co-operative Societies Act, 2006. (2) "Administrator(s)" means a person(s) appointed by Registrar by virtue of exercise of power conferred upon him and for the purpose specified under section 64(1) of the Act. (3) "Affiliated Society" means a particular Society which is a member of the affiliating society. (4) "Affiliating Society" means the registered society in which a particular society becomes a member. (5) "Arbitrator" means a person appointed by Registrar by virtue of power conferred upon him under the Act to settle disputes.....

After section 8AB of the principal Act, the following section shall be inserted, namely:-- '8AC. Family pension.--(1) On the death of a member of either House of Parliament during his term of office, his spouse, if any, or dependent of such member shall be paid during the remaining period of life of such spouse or, as the case may be, such dependent so long as such dependent continues to be a dependent within the meaning of clause (aa) of section 2, family pension equivalent to one-half of the pension which such member of Parliament would have received had he retired: Provided that no such family pension shall be payable to a dependent if such dependent is a sitting member of Parliament or is drawing pension under section 8A. (2) The family pension payable under sub-section (7) shall also be payable to the spouse or dependent of a person who was a member of either House of Parliament or the Provisional Parliament at any time before the commencement of the Salary, Allowances and Pension of Members of Parliament (Amendment) Act, 2006 and died after serving as such member: Provided that such spouse or dependent is not drawing any pension under this Act or is not entitled to.....

Taxation Laws (Amendment) Act, 2006 Section 10

Title: Amendment of Section 56

In section 56 of the Income-tax Act, in sub-section (2),-- (a) in clause (v), -- (i) after the words, letters and figures "after the 1st day of September, 2004", the words, letters and figures "but before the 1st day of April, 2006" shall be inserted with effect from the 1st day of April, 2006; (ii) in the proviso, after clause (d), the following clauses shall be inserted, namely:-- "(e) from any local authority as defined in the Explanation to clause (20) of section 10; or (f) from any fund or foundation or university or other educational institution or hospital or other medical institution or any trust or institution referred to in clause (23C) of section 10; or (g) from any trust or institution registered under section 12AA."; (b) after clause (v) and the Explanation, the following shall be inserted with effect from the 1st day of April, 2007, namely:-- "(vi) where any sum of money, the aggregate value of which exceeds fifty thousand rupees, is received without consideration, by an individual or a Hindu undivided family, in any previous year from any person or persons on or after the 1st day of April, 2006, the whole of the aggregate value of such sum: .....

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act 2006 Complete Act

.....at any time has been, adjudged as insolvent; or (b) is, or becomes, of unsound mind and stands so declared by a competent court; or (c) refuses to act or becomes incapable of acting as a member of the Board; or (d) has been convicted of an offence which, in the opinion of the Central Government, involves moral turpitude; or (e) has so abused, in the opinion of the Central Government, his position as a member of the Board as to render his continuance in the Board detrimental to the interests of the general public. (2) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (1), no member shall be removed from his office on the grounds specified in clauses (c) to (e) of that sub-section unless he has been given a reasonable opportunity of being heard in the matter. 5.Functions of Board.- The Board shall, subject to the general directions of the Central Government, perform all or any of the following functions, namely:" (a) examine the factors affecting the promotion and development of micro, small and medium enterprises and review the policies and programmes of the Central Government in regard to facilitating the promotion and development and enhancing the competitiveness of such.....

Title: National Board for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises

Section 5 - Functions of Board The Board shall, subject to the general directions of the Central Government, perform all or any of the following functions, namely:-- (a) examine the factors affecting the promotion and development of micro, small and medium enterprises and review the policies and programmes of the Central Government in regard to facilitating the promotion and development and enhancing the competitiveness of such enterprises and the impact thereof on such enterprises; (b) make recommendations on matters referred to in clause (a) or on any other matter referred to it by the Central Government which, in the opinion of that Government, is necessary or expedient for facilitating the promotion and development and enhancing the competitiveness of the micro, small and medium enterprises; and (c) advise the Central Government on the use of the Fund or Funds constituted under section 12. Section 6 - Powers and functions of Member-Secretary of Board Subject to other provisions of this Act, the Member-Secretary of the Board shall exercise such powers and perform such functions as may be prescribed.

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006 Section 3

.....term of office of an ex officio member of the Board shall continue so long as he holds the office by virtue of which he is such a member. (5) No actor proceedings of the Board shall be invalid merely by reason of-- (a) any vacancy in, or any defect in the constitution of, the Board; or (b) any defect in the appointment of a person acting as a member of the Board; or (c) any irregularity in the procedure of the Board not affecting the merits of the case. (6) The Board shall meet at least once in every three months in a year. (7) The Board may associate with itself, in such manner and for such purposes as it may deem necessary, any person or persons whose assistance or advice it may desire in complying with any of the provisions of this Act and a person so associated shall have the right to take part in the discussions of the Board relevant to the purposes for which he has been associated but shall not have the right to vote. (8) Without prejudice to sub-section (7) the Chairperson of the Board shall, for not less than two of the meetings of the Board in a year, invite such Ministers of the State Governments having administrative control of the departments of small.....
