.....said goods and merchandises, and ship, etc., or any part thereof. And in case of any loss or misfortune it shall be lawful to the assured, their factors, servants and assigns, to sue, labour, and travel for, in and about the defence, safeguards and recovery of the said goods and merchandises and ship etc., or any part thereof, without prejudice to this Insurance; to the charges whereof we, the assurers, will contribute each one according to the rate and quantity of his sum herein assured. The Punjab Land Reforms Act, 1972 Complete Act

In the context in which clause (a) appears in section 2(5) and in view of the fact that there is a comma after the words "sites of buildings" we are of the view that the words "sites" in clause (a) does not qualify the words "other structures on such land" It should be interpreted as including other structures on such land as also sites of buildings.
