A Typical Draft Letter to the General Secretary of the Union

Date :……………..
To,
The General Secretary,
.................................

Sir,

We received you noticed dated ………… and in reply thereto state and submit as under.

The allegations made in the said notice are vague fabricated, filthy, misconceived and untenable. We denied the same that we have victimized and harassed the committee members and/or workmen in general. In fact no grievances unsettled are pending with the management now, it is sheer mischievous to say that we have provoked the workmen to indulge in violence and illegal acts by victimizing union leaders. Concluding it may be impressed that at this stage when the industry is passing through its most critical career, any sort of industrial unrest would only lead to its gradual ouster from the business. We therefore sincerely request the union to desist from resorting to the proposed unjustified strike and extend their wholehearted co-operation in maintaining industrial peace and better production.

Yours faithfully,
For……………………..
