We are in receipt of your said letter and an reply thereto inform you as under :
1&2. Revision of pay scales & dearness allowance : Our factory is still in initial stage. As already expressed in our earlier letter, we are facing heavy competition in the market. The increase in the salaries of the workers proposed by you is fantastic. Our production has not yet reached the expected target. Under these circumstances, the union demand is unacceptable for us.
3. Payment of Bonus: Will be considered if production is cross the limit ..........
4&5. Whatever laid down under the various statutory provisions will be followed.
6. Uniform: This will be considered.
7. Festival & National Holidays: We are already observing ........ festival & national holidays as prescribed by the Government. It is not possible for us to give more than ...... days.
8. Free supply of tea: This will be considered.
9. Confirmation of services: Whatever laid down under the statutory provisions will be followed.
Concluding it may be impressed that at this stage, when the industry is passing through its most critical career, any monitory increase over and above what it has already offered only lead to its gradual ouster from the field. Above all it is sincerely hoped that the union are surely appreciate our position and co-operate with us for maintaining industrial peace and better production.
