1. It came to notice that you while on duty at................... on .......................... were found smoking within an area where smoking was prohibited.
That the misconduct as aforesaid, if proved, amounts to a willful breach of the rules, entailing punishment of dismissal from service; for if a fire had been caused by your aforesaid act, it would have spread death and destruction all over the area.
In view of what has been stated above, you are hereby called upon to explain within ....... days from the receipt hereof as to why appropriate disciplinary action should not be initiated against you if you failed to reply within a stipulated then will be presume that you have accepted the charge and action will be taken as per Rule.
