Dear Sir/Madam,
Sub:     Letter of Confirmation

Further to our letter ref...................... dated we are pleased to confirm your appointment as ..................... with effect form .................... subject to the following terms and conditions :-

(i) You will receive a basic salary of Rs. ............. (Rupees................... per month in the scale of Rs. ............................    and Dearness Allowance as per the cost of living index applicable.................. for the staff in your category attached to your basic salary, DA etc., will be as per the rules of the company applicable from time to time to staff in your category in the establishment to which you may be attached.

You will also be entitled to House Rent Allowance of Rs. ............... (Rupees...................... only) per month from the date of your confirmation i.e.............

(ii) Your services are liable to be terminated by either party giving one month's notice to the other party or one month's salary in lieu of such notice

(iii) It is ordinarily presumed that this contract of employment is renewed form time to time till you reach the age of Superannuation on the understanding that your performance in the job is satisfactory and acceptable in all respects. You will be advised from time to time about your performance especially if and when it falls below satisfactory level. If the Management finds that you are incapable of performing the job/jobs assigned to you inspite of best of efforts on your part, the Management will be at liberty to terminate this contract of employment at any time on giving you one month's notice or salary in lieu of such notice; in other words it will be presumed that the contract has not been renewed from the date of such termination.

(iv) Please note that should you be found guilty of any misconduct, your services are liable to be terminated by way of dismissal without notice or any compensation whatsoever.

(v) The company has the right to suspend you pending charge-sheet inquiry and till its final disposal without any salary and allowances. The Company may grant at its sole and absolute discretion subsistence allowance.

(vi) You will be responsible for safe keeping/return in good condition and orders, of all our property that may have been entrusted to you from time to time for study/care/charge.

(vii) If you fall to account for any property that may be entrusted to you or for which you are responsible, we shall have the right to deduct the money value of such property from your dues apart from our right to take any appropriate action as we deemed fit, which please note.

(viii) The other terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the rules and regulations applicable for the time being to the company’s staff in your category subject to amendments, alteration, deletions, etc. as the case may be.

(ix) Though you are presently posted at............... your services are liable to be transferred (either temporarily or permanently) to any Department/Division/Establishment of this Company anywhere in India. If any question of interpretation of any term/condition of your appointment/employment arises, the company's decision shall be final and binding on you.

A duplicate copy of this letter is enclosed and we shall be glad if you will sign and return it as proof of your being explained/understood the contents of this letter and your acceptance of the above terms and conditions.
