Dear Sir,
With reference to your application dated .......... and interview dated .......... you had with us, we have the pleasure, in offering you an appointment for the Post of ............ on the following terms and conditions:
1. This appointment will take effect from ..........
2. You will be on probation for a period of six months from the date of your joining the company. This period of probation can, however, be extended upto ......... year, as the company may deem fit in its sole discretion. On completion of this period, you may be confirmed, if your services are found satisfactory. Unless confirmed in writing, you will be deemed to be continuing on probation.
3. If the company is not satisfied with your work and/or conduct, your services shall be liable to termination, without notice and/or assigning any reason whatsoever, at any time during or on completion of the probationary period.
04. Duties and responsibilities
(a) The company will expect you to work with a high standard of initiative, efficiency and economy in the section or department in which you are placed.
(b) You will devote your entire time to the work of the company and will not undertake any other direct/indirect business or work, honorary or remuneratory, except with the written permission of the company in each case.
(c) You shall not seek membership of any local or public bodies without first obtaining specific permission from the company.
(d) You shall not divulge or give out to any unauthorised person, by word of mouth or otherwise, particulars or details of our manufacturing process, technical know-how, security arrangements, administrative and/or organisational matters of a confidential and secret nature, nor use the same for any purpose other than company's during the period of your employment with us or thereafter, which may be your personnel privilege to know by virtue of your being employee of the company.
05. Emoluments:

6. You increments and future prospects in the company shall entirely depend on your efficiency, hard work regularity in attendance, sincerity, good conduct and such other relevant factors. Increment in no case shall be automatic and/or a matter of right.
7. The company may transfer you, any where in India, to any of its Section/Plant/Department./Unit/ Branch or any of its associated companies, as it may consider necessary from time to time in its sole discretion on the same terms and conditions of your employment.
8. You will automatically retire on attaining the age of. 58 (Fifty eight) years an extension may however, be given at the discretion of the company.
9. Not withstanding any of the clauses of this letter, this appointment, later on to confirmation, is terminable by either the company or yourself, without assigning any reason whatsoever, by giving one month's notice or payment in lieu thereof
10. In all those matters not covered by this letter. You shall be strictly governed by the Rules Regulations and/or the standing orders of the company as in force and /or amended from time to time.
11. If you are agreeable to the above terms and conditions of employment, please return the duplicate copy of this appointment letter, duly signed by you in token of your acceptance, within ..... days from the date of its receipt and report for duty to ..................... at .............................. on any working day on or before...................... at.................. a.m. failing which this offer will automatically stand withdrawn. You are further requested to let us know (he date on which you will be joining the company.
