Motor vehicle, means any mechanically propelled vehicle adapted for use upon roads whether the power of propulsion is transmitted thereto from an external or internal source and includes a chassis to which a body has not been attached and a trailer; but does not include a vehicle running upon fixed rails or a vehicle of a special type adapted for use only in a factory or in any other enclosed premises or a vehicle having less than four wheels fitted with engine capacity of not exceeding [twenty-five cubic centimetres]. Dealer
Dealer, in relation to any dangerous machine or any part thereof, means a person who, or a firm or a Hindu undivided family which, carries on, directly or otherwise, the business of buying, selling, supplying or distributing any dangerous machine or any part thereof, whether for cash or for deferred payment or for commission, remuneration or other valuable consideration, and includes-(i) a commission agent who carries on such business on behalf of any principal;(ii) an importer who sells, supplies, distributes or otherwise delivers any dangerous machine to any user, manufacturer, repairer, consumer or any other person. But does not include a manufacturer who sells, supplies, distributes or otherwise delivers any dangerous machine or any part thereof to any person or category of persons referred to in this clause.
