Definition :

Applicant, means the head of household or any of its other adult members who to has applied for employment under the Scheme. [National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, 2005 (42 of 2005), s. 2(b)]

Includes--(i) a petitioner. (ii) any person from or through whom an applicant derives his right to apply. (iii) any person whose estate is represented by the applicant as executor, administrator or other representative. [Limitation Act, 1963 (36 of 1963), s. 2 (a)]
