Watch rate, a rate leviable in many municipal boroughs by order of the council which is carried to the borough fund, (English) Municipal Corporations Act, 1882, ss. 197-200; repealed by the (English) Rating and Valuation Act, 1925; see ss. 10 and 11, and RATE.
