Vaishnavites, the images of Shiva is worshipped by his worshippers who are called Saivites and the image of Vishnu is worshipped by him worshippers who are know as Vaishnavites, His Holiness S.P.E.R. Jeeyar Swami v. State of Tamil Nadu, AIR 1972 SC 1586 (1591).
