Definition :

Treatment, is said to be also employed to indicate all the steps taken in order to effect a cure of an injury or disease, Himanshu Sekhar Nandy v. District Magistrate, Balasore, 1976 Cut LT 1262: 1976 Cut LR (Cr) 457.

Treatment, would include such steps as would not only tend to effect cure of some disease but also as would prevent further deterioration of the disease. The expression connotes a remedial measure either to cure or to prevent deterioration. Hence, prescription of pair of spectacles by eye specialist would be treatment, Himanshu Sekhar Nandy v. D.M. Balasore, (1976) 42 Cut LT 1262.
