Definition :
Ticket, as a printed card or a piece of paper that gives a person a specific rights, as to attend a theatre, ride on a train, claim or purchase, etc. Webster's Words and Phrases, Permanent Edn., Vol. 25A.
For a railway passenger not to produce a railway ticket on request by an officer or servant of a railway company, or to pay his fare from the place when he started, or to give the officer or servant his name and address, is summarily punishable by fine up to 40s. See FARE.
