Thoroughfare, for a place to be thoroughfare there must be an unobstructed transit, Anantarajani Mohanty v. State of Orissa, AIR 1951 Ori 51. (Public Act, 1861, s. 30)

Thoroughfare, is a wider expression than a 'rood' or a 'street', but is narrower than a 'public place', Anatarajani Mohanty v. State of Orissa, AIR 1951 Ori 51.
