Tenths [decim', Lat.], tithes; also the tenth part of the annual value of every spiritual preferment, paid in early times to the pope, transferred from the pope to the Crown by 26 Hen. 8, c. 3, and from the Crown, for the augmentation of small livings, to the Church by 2 Anne, s. 8.
