Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State. Learned counsel for the informant appeared and vehemently opposed the prayer for bail. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in connection with a case instituted under Section 406 of the IPC and Section 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. It is contended that initially a complaint case was filed which was referred to police for institution of FIR. The allegation is that a negotiation for marriage had taken place. The informant had paid certain amount in the form of dowry for the purposes of marriage in the year 2007.
