Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to provide Electricity connection to the petitioner residing in survey No.182/1 within the time limit fixed by this Court.
ORDER
1. This Writ Petition is filed praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to provide Electricity connection to the petitioner residing in survey No.182/1 within the time limit fixed by this Court.
2. Mr.P.Gunaraj, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
3. Petitioner made a representation dated 4.4.2012 to the second respondent requesting electricity service connection. She also claims that she is afflicted with HIV. She, therefore, prays for early electricity supply.
4. Mr.P.Gunaraj, learned counsel appearing for the respondents states that the third respondent is the competent authority and the authority will consider the claim of the petitioner on merits as may be directed by this Court.
5. Considering the above submissions, the third respondent is directed to consider the claim of the petitioner sympathetically and give the power supply if the application of the petitioner is otherwise in order within fifteen days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is ordered as above. No costs.
