ORDER

Seeking to direct the 4th respondent to conduct the enquiry and to take proper action on petitioner's complaint dated 20.06.2026, this writ petition is filed.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that Arulmighu

Pillathal is a Kulatheivam of the petitioner and four other Pangali Vageras. The said temple is situated at Kalugarkadai Village, Thiruppuvanam Taluk, Sivagangai District. With respect to the conduct of temple festival, the same should be organized together by all the Pangalis. In this regard, a dispute has emanated among the Pangalis. As a result of which, for ensuring the peaceful conduct of the temple festival, the petitioner had lodged a complaint to the respondent police on 20.06.2026. Since no action has been taken, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submitted that already

the petitioner's complaint is received and considered. The 4th respondent had recommended the 3rd respondent to conduct Peace Committee meeting. The said recommendation is pending before the 3rd respondent.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner pointed out that the temple festival is scheduled to be held on 03.07.2026 to 05.07.2026.

5. Heard the learned counsel on either side and carefully perused the materials available on record.

6. In view of the above, the 3rd respondent is directed to conduct Peace

Committee on 02.07.2026 by putting notice to all the Pangali Vageras. The petitioner is directed to provide all the details of the various Pangalis to the 3rd respondent forthwith. On receipt of the same, the 3rd respondent is directed to conduct the Peace Committee among all the various communities on 02.07.2026 at 05.00 p.m in 3rd respondent office and to ensure the peaceful conduct of the temple festival. It is made clear that none of the villagers should seek for any kind of first honour and the Peace Committee should be conducted only in terms of proper conduct of the temple festival peacefully.

7. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. 01.07.2026 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No
