ORDER

The petitioner herein, who is presently working as a Staff Nurse, has approached this Court challenging the impugned proceedings bearing Proc.Ref.No.91852/N2/2025, dated 27.02.2026, issued by the second respondent, whereby the additional tentative seniority list of eligible Staff Nurses to be considered for promotion to the post of Nursing Tutor Grade-II for the panel year 2025-2026 has been published, while publishing the list of Nurses not eligible for inclusion of their names in the said panel for the year 2025-2026.

2. The name of the petitioner is found in the list of candidates not

eligible for the panel year 2025-2026 and the reason assigned for non- inclusion of the name of the petitioner is that the petitioner got her certificate obtained from Indira Gandhi National Open University for the Post Basic B.Sc., Nursing Course registered with the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council only in the month of January, 2026 as against the crucial date for the panel year 2025-2026 being 15.03.2025.

4. Mr.M.Dinesh Hari Sudarsan, learned counsel for the

Government of Tamil Nadu appearing for the respondents submits that it is only because of the non-eligibility of the petitioner as on the crucial date, her name was not included in the additional tentative seniority list of eligible staff nurses to be considered for promotion to the post of Nursing Tutor Grade-II for the panel year 2025-2026 and her case would be considered in the future promotions to the post of Nursing Tutor Grade-II by duly taking into consideration the date of registration of her certificate with the concerned body.

5. In the light of the above, learned counsel for the petitioner also

submits that the case of the petitioner may be considered for promotion to the post of Nursing Tutor Grade-II in the future promotions and while drawing additional list of eligible candidates by duly taking into consideration the date of registration of her certificate with the concerned body i.e., January, 2026.

6. In the light of the above, this writ petition is disposed of

directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner while drawing additional tentative seniority list of eligible candidates for promotion to the post of Nursing Tutor Grade-II for the panel year 2026-2027 along with all other eligible candidates.
