JUDGMENT

The petitioner herein is the first petitioner in OP(MV)No.1298/2018 pending before the MACT, Kollam. The above application was filed claiming compensation consequent to the death of the husband of the petitioner in a road accident. The petitioner claims to be a senior citizen and at present has no means of livelihood. Hence she seeks for a speedy disposal of OP(MV)No.1298/2018.

2. The data regarding the pendency of cases in

MACT, Kollam is not available. There is no material at present to show whether the court is bound to take up other matters pursuant to directions of this court. Still, having regard to the nature of the grievance set up by the petitioner as is available from the Original Petition, I am inclined to direct the MACT, Kollam to take up OP(MV)NO.1298/2018 pending before it and to dispose it of on merits, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of four months from the date of completion of service as well as the pleading, or from the date of production of a copy of this judgment, whichever is later.
