JUDGMENT
Dated this the 6th day of October, 2022. Amidst the various assertions, allegations and averments made and urged in this writ petition, when this matter was called today, the learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that his clients will be satisfied for the time being if Exts.P4 to P6 are directed to be taken up and decided by the Controller of Examinations; however, praying that University be directed not to publish the results of the LL.M examination until then.
2. Sri.P.C.Sasidharan - learned Standing Counsel
for the Calicut University, initially submitted that Exts.P4 to P6 have not been received by his clients; but added that, if this Court is so inclined, the Controller can hear the petitioners on Tuesday (11.10.2022) and take a final decision on it. He, however, supplemented this saying that there is nothing in the applicable Regulations of the University permitting bifurcation of the Rank List, as has been now sought for by the petitioners; but that the Controller is willing to consider their request dispassionately and issue an appropriate order. Taking note of the afore submissions, I order this writ petition and direct the petitioners to appear before the Controller of Examinations at 11:00 AM on 11.10.2022; on which day, said Authority will hear them and take a final decision on Exts.P4 to P6 representations - whether it has been received or otherwise, and in the latter case taking the same out of the files of this writ petition - and dispose it of, resulting in an appropriate
order and necessary action thereon as expeditiously as is
possible. Needless to say, the Rank List to be published by the University shall abide by the decision to be taken by the Controller of Examinations through the afore exercise.
