JUDGMENT

Dated this the 5th day of August, 2022 This writ petition is filed seeking directions to respondents 2 and 3 to provide adequate and effective police protection to the life of the petitioner.

2. It is submitted that respondents 4 to 9 were

acquaintances of the petitioner, who had invested money in certain companies on the advice of the petitioner. It is submitted that since the money invested by them has been lost, they are harassing the petitioner and threatening harm to him.

3. The learned Government Pleader submits

that the petitioner as well as respondents 4 to 9 were summoned to the police station and respondents 4 to 9 have been advised to take recourse to proper proceedings to get back their amounts and not to create law and order issues. It is submitted that at present, there is no law and order situation and that the petitioner is not being threatened or attacked by respondents 4 to 9. Having considered the contentions advanced and in view of the fact that though notices have been issued to respondents 4 to 9 and they have not appeared before this Court , this writ petition is closed, making it clear that in case the petitioner faces any overt acts or threats from respondents 4 to 9, the petitioner may inform the Station House Officer, who shall continue to afford adequate protection to the life of the petitioner.
