The petitioner shall execute a bond of Rs.10,000/- with two sureties to the like sum each out of which one must be blood surety and another surety must be from local. in C.M.P.No.708 of 2025 dated 17.03.2026 before the learned Judicial Magistrate-VII, Puducherry. This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to modify the condition that the petitioner shall execute a bond of Rs.10,000/- with two sureties to the like sum each out of which one must be blood surety and another surety must be Page1 of 4 from local in C.M.P.No.708 of 2025 dated 17.03.2026 before the learned Judicial Magistrate-VII, Puducherry.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though the

petitioner has obtained bail on 17.03.2026, since she was not in a position to produce local surety, she has filed this application for modification. As per the

order of the learned Magistrate dated 17.03.2026, she was directed to produce

blood surety and a local surety. He further submitted that the petitioner has no acquaintance in Puducherry and therefore, the question of production of local surety is practically impossible.

3. The learned Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent has objected to the said contention.

4. Considering the submissions made on either sides and the nature of the

offence, though the learned Special Public Prosecutor (Puducherry) has objected, while looking at the factual position, this Court is inclined to modify the condition imposed in Cr.M.P.No.708 of 2025 dated 17.03.2026 by the learned Judicial Magistrate-VII, Puducherry. The petitioner is relaxed from providing local sureties. The other conditions imposed earlier shall remain unaltered.
