This writ petition has been filed to direct respondents 1 and 2 to change the classification of the land, morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition from educational to residential, based on the petitioner’s online application No. 8491 dated 28.02.2026.
2.Ms.C.Meera Arumugam, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. On instructions, she would submit that the request of the petitioner is being processed by respondents 1 and 2. She would submit that final orders can be passed by respondents 1 and 2 within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
3.This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner’s online application dated 28.02.2026 seeking for change of classification of the land from educational to residential. 4.Since the application of the petitioner seeking for change of classification is being processed by respondents 1 and 2, this Court directs respondents 1 and 2 to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law Page2 of 4
on the petitioner’s application dated 28.02.2026 seeking for change of classification of the lands, morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition from educational to residential, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner.
5.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Index: Yes/No
