.....of 5prayer: writ petition filed under article 226 of constitution of india for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 06.03.2026 and to further direct them to compensate the actual loss suffered by petitioner. for petitioner(s): mr.k.hemanathanorderthis writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. since no adverse orders are passed as against the respondents, notice to the respondents are dispensed with.2. according to the petitioner, he is the senior citizen andpermanent resident of konnur village of villupuram taluk and district. the petitioner owns an extent of 0.70.00 ares of punja land in survey nos.244b/2a, in survey nos.244b/2c and 244/4a. since there is no irrigation facility to the land and cultivation of essential crops was not possible, the petitioner planted causuarina trees saplings. the respondent had erected the low tension line passing through the petitioner property and the service lines were not properly maintained page2 of 5 and without any prior intimation, the respondents officials had entered into the petitioner’s property and cut down the petitioner’s casuarina trees around 1875 saplings in the month of july 2024 and furthermore, 675 trees on 09.03.2026. therefore, the petitioner sent the representation to the respondents on 06.03.2026 to provide proper maintenance to the low tension electricity lines and for compensation for unauthorised cutting of trees. since the same was not considered, the petitioner has come up with the present petition.3. in view of the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, withoutgoing into the merits of the case, this court hereby directs the 5 th respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.03.2026 on merits and pass appropriate orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. with the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of......

ORDER

This Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Since no adverse orders are passed as against the respondents, notice to the respondents are dispensed with.

2. According to the petitioner, he is the senior citizen and

permanent resident of Konnur Village of Villupuram Taluk and District. The petitioner owns an extent of 0.70.00 Ares of Punja land in Survey Nos.244B/2A, in Survey Nos.244B/2C and 244/4A. Since there is no irrigation facility to the land and cultivation of essential crops was not possible, the petitioner planted causuarina trees saplings. The respondent had erected the low tension line passing through the petitioner property and the service lines were not properly maintained Page2 of 5 and without any prior intimation, the respondents officials had entered into the petitioner’s property and cut down the petitioner’s casuarina trees around 1875 saplings in the month of July 2024 and furthermore, 675 trees on 09.03.2026. Therefore, the petitioner sent the representation to the respondents on 06.03.2026 to provide proper maintenance to the Low Tension Electricity lines and for compensation for unauthorised cutting of trees. Since the same was not considered, the petitioner has come up with the present petition.

3. In view of the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, without

going into the merits of the case, this Court hereby directs the 5 th respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.03.2026 on merits and pass appropriate orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs. 30-03-2026 Index: Yes/No
