Heard both sides.

2. The petitioners submitted a representation dated 10.10.2025, to the

District Revenue Officer, Kallakurichi, seeking issuance of patta in their favour. The petitioners have moved this writ petition on the apprehension that without considering their representation, patta in respect of the land in question might be issued to third party.

3. The second respondent is directed to issue notice to all the

interested persons, including other applicants, and pass an order on merits and in accordance with law, on the representation submitted by the petitioners, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter.

5. The writ petition stands disposed of. There will be no order as to
