.....the order copy made ready, before the learned judicial magistrate no.1, poonamallee, on condition that the petitioner shall execute a bond for a sum of rs.20,000/- (rupees twenty thousand only), with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned magistrate concerned, and on further condition:(a) the petitioner shall deposit a sum ofrs.7,00,000/- (rupees seven lakhs only) to the credit of crime no.51 of 2026 on the file of the respondent police within a period of fifteen four weeks from today, failing which, anticipatory bail granted to the petitioner shall stand dismissed automatically;(b) on deposit of the money as ordered above, thesureties shall be accepted by the learned magistrate concerned and the deposited money shall be re-deposited in any one of the nationalised bank and the same shall be disbursed at the time of conclusion of trial or any settlement arrived between the parties;”3. the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that a clarification isrequired with regard to the condition imposed in paragraph 7(a) of the orderin crl.o.p.no.856 of 2026, particularly with respect to the time stipulated for deposit of the amount, and also sought extension of time for depositing the said amount.4. considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for thepetitioner, this court is of the view that the condition imposed in paragraph 7(a) of the order in crl.o.p.no.856 of 2026 dated 16.02.2026 requires modification. accordingly, the said condition is modified to that effect that “the petitioner shall deposit a sum of rs.7,00,000/- (rupees seven lakhs only) to the credit of crime no.51 of 2026 on the file of the respondent police within a period of fifteen (15) days from today, failing which, anticipatory bail granted to the petitioner shall stand dismissed automatically”. the other conditions shall remain unaltered.5. it is further ordered that a period of two (2) weeks time is extendedto comply with the conditions imposed.....

ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking modification of the condition imposed in paragraph 7, 7(a) and (b) of the order passed in Crl.O.P.No.856 of 2026 dated 16.02.2026.

2. This Court, by order dated 16.02.2026 in Crl.O.P.No.856 of 2026, imposed the following conditions:

“7. Accordingly, the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail in the event of arrest or on his appearance, within a period of fifteen (15) days from the date on which the order copy made ready, before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Poonamallee, on condition that the petitioner shall execute a bond for a sum of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand only), with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Magistrate concerned, and on further condition:

(a) The petitioner shall deposit a sum of

Rs.7,00,000/- (Rupees Seven Lakhs only) to the credit of Crime No.51 of 2026 on the file of the respondent police within a period of fifteen four weeks from today, failing which, anticipatory bail granted to the petitioner shall stand dismissed automatically;

(b) On deposit of the money as ordered above, the

sureties shall be accepted by the learned Magistrate concerned and the deposited money shall be re-deposited in any one of the Nationalised Bank and the same shall be disbursed at the time of conclusion of Trial or any settlement arrived between the parties;”

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that a clarification is

required with regard to the condition imposed in paragraph 7(a) of the order

in Crl.O.P.No.856 of 2026, particularly with respect to the time stipulated for deposit of the amount, and also sought extension of time for depositing the said amount.

4. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the

petitioner, this Court is of the view that the condition imposed in paragraph 7(a) of the order in Crl.O.P.No.856 of 2026 dated 16.02.2026 requires modification. Accordingly, the said condition is modified to that effect that “the petitioner shall deposit a sum of Rs.7,00,000/- (Rupees Seven Lakhs only) to the credit of Crime No.51 of 2026 on the file of the respondent police within a period of fifteen (15) days from today, failing which, anticipatory bail granted to the petitioner shall stand dismissed automatically”. The other conditions shall remain unaltered.

5. It is further ordered that a period of two (2) weeks time is extended

to comply with the conditions imposed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.856 of 2026 dated 16.02.2026, from the date on which, the order copy made ready, failing which, the anticipatory bail shall stand automatically cancelled and no further extension of time will be granted. cda NOTE: Issue order copy by 30.03.2026
