Vs Chennai-600 006 Respondent Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to issue an Appointment Order to the Petitioner as Assistant Statistical Investigator based on the Provisional Selection intimation Memorandum dated 05.11.2025 issued by the TNPSC and the Petitioners representation dated 27.01.2026 within a time frame fixed by this Court. ORDER

The petitioner was selected for appointment to the post of Assistant Statistical Investigator based on the Provisional Selection Intimation Memorandum dated 05.11.2025 issued by the Tamil Nadu Public Service

Commission. According to the petitioner, though she was duly selected, the appointment order has not been issued to her. Thereafter, she submitted a representation dated 27.01.2026 requesting issuance of the appointment order. Since no action was taken on the said representation, she has approached this Court by filing this writ petition seeking for appropriate directions.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional

Government Pleader appearing for the respondent, on instructions, submitted that the appointment order will be issued to the petitioner, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. Recording the fair submission of the learned Additional Government

Pleader, this writ petition is disposed of, with a direction to the respondent to issue the appointment order to the petitioner for the post of Assistant Statistical Investigator, pursuant to the Provisional Selection Intimation Memorandum dated 05.11.2025, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if there are no other legal impediments.
