ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioner for the property morefully disclosed in the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition, based on the petitioner’s application dated Page No.1 of 4 24.11.2022 and also the petitioner’s representation, dated 31.01.2026, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner claims that he is the owner of the property morefully

disclosed in the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition and he is in possession of the same. He seeks for issuance of patta in his name for the subject property. He had submitted an application with the respondent on 24.11.2022 seeking for issuance of patta in his name. Thereafter, he had also given a representation dated 31.01.2026 for the very same purpose. Since the petitioner’s application seeking for issuance of patta was not considered, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3. Mr.R.P.Murugan Raja, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner’s

application dated 24.11.2022 and the representation dated 31.01.2026 seeking for issuance of patta in his name is considered on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the objections, if any, from the neighbouring land owners and any other third party, whom they deems it fit to enquire, within a time frame to Page No.2 of 4 be fixed by this Court. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner’s application and representation.

5. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the respondent to pass

final orders, on merits and in accordance with law, on the petitioner’s application dated 24.11.2022 and his representation dated 31.01.2026 seeking for issuance of patta in his favour for the property morefully disclosed in the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents filed by the petitioner and after hearing the objections, if any, from the neighbouring land owners and any other third party, whom the respondent deems it fit to enquire.

6. With the aforesaid direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Index : Yes / No
