ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to issue patta in the name of the petitioners for the property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition, based on the petitioners’ representation, dated 30.01.2026, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2. Since the aforesaid representation, dated 30.01.2026 has not been considered by the respondent till date, the petitioners have filed this writ petition.
3. Mr.S.Arumugam, learned Government Advocate, accepts
notice on behalf of the respondent. He would submit that the petitioners will have to submit a fresh online application seeking for issuance of patta and only thereafter, the respondent will be in a position to consider the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioners, on instructions, would submit that the petitioners are willing to submit a fresh online application with the respondent for issuance of patta in the name of the petitioners. Page No.2 of 7
5. No prejudice would be caused to the respondent, if the
petitioners’ application seeking for issuance of patta in the name of the petitioners is considered on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents filed by the petitioners and after hearing the objections of the neighbouring land owners and any other third party, whom the respondent deems it fit to enquire, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioners’ application.
6. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the petitioners to
submit a fresh online application with the respondent seeking for issuance of patta for the property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition, within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the said applications from the petitioners within the stipulated time, the respondent shall pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, on the said applications, within a period of twelve (12) thereafter, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents filed by the petitioners and after hearing the objections, if any, from the neighbouring land owners and any other third party, whom the respondent deems it fit to enquire.
