This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a mandamus to direct the respondents 2 and 4 to issue patta for the property morefully described in the prayer to this Writ Petition in favour of the petitioner without insisting for an NOC from the respondents 1 and 3 based on the petitioner’s representation dated 10.01.2025 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner claims that earlier land acquisition proceedings were

initiated against the property, for which, relief is sought for, in this Writ Petition. The same has been declared to be lapsed by orders of this Court dated 30.10.2015 in W.P.Nos.10604 and 10605 of 2014. In view of the same, the petitioner claims that he is entitled for patta for the said property in his name. The petitioner had given a representation dated 10.01.2025 for issuance of patta in his name for the property morefully described in the prayer to this Writ Petition since the land acquisition proceedings has got lapsed by virtue of the order passed by this Court in the aforesaid Writ Petitions. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.

3. The respondents 1 and 3 have filed their counter affidavit. Remaining respondents, viz,. respondents 2 and 4 have not filed their counter affidavit till date.

4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the

petitioner’s representation seeking for issuance of patta in his name is considered on merits and in accordance with law in the light of the orders dated 30.10.2015 passed in W.P.Nos.10604 and 10605 of 2014 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the representation made by the petitioner.

5. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the respondents 2 and

4 to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner’s representation dated 10.01.2025 seeking for issuance of patta in his name for the property morefully described in the prayer to this Writ Petition in the light of the orders dated 30.10.2015 passed by this Court in W.P.Nos.10604 and 10605 of 2014 within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
