2. In response to the petitioner’s prayer seeking direction for

cancellation of patta issued in favour of the fourth respondent, learned State counsel would submit that the petitioner has an alternative statutory remedy of filing an appeal under Section 12 of the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act, 1983.

3. Giving the petitioner liberty to file an appeal, the writ petition
