ORDER

This Civil Revision Petition has been filed seeking a limited relief. The petitioners seek an early disposal of O.S.No.489 of 2023, pending on the file of the District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate,

2. Mr.V.Balakrishnan, learned Government Counsel, takes notice

on behalf of the 2nd respondent. Since no adverse order is passed against the 1st respondent in this civil revision petition, notice to the 1 st respondent is dispensed with by this Court.

3. The petitioners are the defendants 1 and 2 in the suit in

O.S.No.489 of 2023 and the 1st petitioner is a senior citizen. The suit has been filed by the respondent/plaintiff to declare the settlement deed as null and void. According to the petitioners, the pendency of the suit is prejudicial to their interest. According to them, even though pleadings are complete and issues have been framed, the trial court is yet to commence the trial in the suit.

4. Since the suit is of the year 2023 and the pleadings are

complete and since the 1st petitioner is a senior citizen, this Court, in the interest of justice, directs the District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Pallavaram, to dispose of the suit in O.S.No.489 of 2023, within a period of eight (8) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
