Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records of the first respondent relating to the orders in Na.Ka.No.C2/3172/2005 dated 20.06.2008, quash the same in so far as it relates to placement of the petitioners and respondents 2 to 6 herein and issue directions to the first respondent to fix the seniority of the petitioners over and above the respondents 2 to 6 herein and to consequently promote the petitioners as Driver prior to the promotion of respondents 2 to 6.

ORDER
When the writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned standing counsel appearing on behalf of the first respondent submit that the petitioners have addressed a letter to the first respondent informing the authority that they would not precipitate the matter and would withdraw the writ petition.
2. The learned standing counsel appearing on behalf of the first respondent submitting as above has placed before this Court, the copy of the letters as furnished by the petitioners herein.
3. On the aforesaid submission being made by the learned standing
counsel, the learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that this Court may record the aforesaid submissions made by the learned standing counsel appearing on behalf of the first respondent of the petitioners submitting letters not to precipitate the matter and also withdrawing the writ petition and close the present writ petition.
4. Having regard to the submissions made as above and taking note of
the fact that the petitioners themselves have approached the first respondent and addressed letters to the first respondent seeking for withdrawal of the present writ petition (i.e.,) WP.No.24160 of 2008, this Court is of the view that there is no necessity to proceed with the matter further. The copies of the letter addressed by the petitioners to the first respondent are taken up on record.
5. Accordingly, this writ petition is closed. No order as to costs. 27.04.2026
