Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to survey the petitioner’s land in S.F.No.272/9E 1-0.50 Hec as per Patta No.3588 situated at Thandalam Village, Arakkonam Taluk with the assistance of the 2nd respondent within the time fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the 1 st respondent to survey and demarcate the property, which according to the petitioner is owned by him, based on his online application, dated 07.01.2026, with the assistance of the 2 nd respondent, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner had submitted an application through on-line on

07.01.2026 for the aforesaid purpose. Since the same has not been considered by the official respondents till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3. Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader,

accepts notice on behalf of the 1st respondent and Mr.R.Venkatesa Perumal, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), accepts notice on behalf of the 2nd respondent. Since no adverse order has been passed against the respondents 3 to 6 in this writ petition, notice to the respondents 3 to 6 is dispensed with by this Court. Page No.2 of 4

4. No prejudice would be caused to any of the respondents, if the

1st respondent is directed to survey and demarcate the boundaries of the petitioner’s property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, after hearing the objections, if any, from the respondents 3 to 6, the neighbouring land owners and any other party as they deem fit within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of in the following manner:-

(a) Before surveying the lands in question, the 1st respondent is directed to issue notice to the respondents 3 to 6, the neighbouring land owners, and also to any other party, if they deem fit to put on notice.

(b) After receiving objections if any and after

considering the same, the 1st respondent shall conduct survey and demarcate the boundaries of the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, with the assistance of the 2nd respondent, if required, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

(c) There shall be no order as to costs. Index : Yes / No
